Hi! I love that you are dedicating your valuable time to reading The Museletter. Thank you for that. If you feel like this blog benefits you, please consider becoming a paid subscriber. Your $7, whether it be for one month, six months or for all of eternity, is the gasoline I need to keep this dumpster fire going. In exchange, I promise to keep the inspiration, comedy magic, passion for performing, weirdness, advice, and lights on in this comedy church.

My Tue show at Garage Sale Comedy was a blast! | Instagram
After doing stand up for a while, I started to notice that it was becoming repetitious. As a die hard lover and obsessed comedy fan and comedian, it’s never boring. But, like marriage, sometimes you might have to toss in some new tricks to keep it feeling fresh and exciting.
Here are some things I’ve tried that I’ve had some success with, in terms of having fun, making (a little) money, getting press, and making waves in the comedy world:
I staged a photo of all the female comedians in New York City
Women In Comedy was covered by The New York Times
I created a comedy music festival
NY Funny Songs Fest was featured in The New York Times, Time Out NY, The Wall Street Journal and more
I built a small comedy theater in downtown Manhattan
The Unicorn NYC was covered by Time Out NY and more, and its first show was The Crash Test Dummies
I toured a solo show
Dirty Folk Rock ran at Edinburgh Fringe Fest, SoHo Theater, and got me booked all over the U.S. and U.K.
I wrote a book
Dumb Jokes For Smart Folks sold over 1000 copies in its first year
Guitar Champion was never picked up, but it is a beautiful time capsule of comedy in the early 2000s, featuring Seth Herzog, Giulia Rozzi, Andy Blitz and more
I wrote an award-winning comedy script with some friends
Jingle Belles placed in several writing contests
I even turned my own wedding into a spectacle
I rode a unicorn into my wedding, which was covered by The New York Times Vows
That’s a small collection of comedy related projects I’ve made up out of the thin air in order to keep comedy fun for me.
Now I’m onto my next one… more soon!
What are some of your claims to fame? What’s on the horizon?
