That Time I Did Something Unbelievably Fun (And Kind Of Stupid) And Crashed SNL's 40th Anniversary Party

It was a freezing cold night in 2015 and it was already pretty late when I decided I WAS going to go crash SNL’s 40th anniversary party. I called my friend, comedian Sandip Buch, and coerced him into coming with me. It didn’t take much convincing.
I told him to wear a tux and said I’d meet him in a car at the corner of 14th and 6th Ave. He was right where I asked him to be, when he was supposed to be there, and quickly jumped in. The electricity in the air was thick—like trying to breathe marshmallows. We made small talk, filmed a little video and I gave him the rundown of the plan. We were going to try to get in, and if we didn’t, we’d just leave.
Upon arrival, it was mayhem. There were SUVs and celebrities everywhere. We tried to go in the front door and failed. Security quickly bounced us. But I had a back up plan.
