Performing at Reading and Leeds Festival was one of the highlights of my career. I’m not even sure how I got booked to do it, but I think it was from performing in Edinburgh Fringe Festival, another amazing chapter, and a post for another time. I’ll just quickly say, if you are a comedian, you should do a show at Edinburgh Fringe at least once!
I traveled to the festival with Stuckey & Murray, a funny comedic musical duo that you should definitely check out if you’ve never heard of before. First, we stopped at Latitude Festival and performed there. It was in a woodsy area of the U.K. outside of London. We had to take a train, a bus and then a car to get there. Once we arrived, we were given our accommodations—a campsite, and wandered around until it was time to perform. The festival reminded me of the Vermont Reggae Festival or a dead show, but the U.K. version of it. We performed and partied all weekend, and then my husband Alex joined me, and we made our way to Reading & Leeds, driving on the wrong side of the road the whole way there.
