Me and my best friend, Tyra Banks

As I’m going back through journals and my own bad memory, I’m having a bit of trouble remembering how I booked some of the gigs I have over the years, and this is another one that I’m blanking on how I landed, though I have a theory.

Something you should know about me is that I am absolute information addict. I hoard details, snippets, blurbs and nuggets the way some people collect World War II relics or beanie babies. Somehow, it doesn’t make me smarter. That being said, I’m on, and I do not exaggerate when I say, maybe over 100 email lists. I have them spread out across several emails so that they don’t clog up my main email address. Some emailing lists I’m on send out castings for reality shows. I’m guessing that one of them at one time was The Tyra Banks Show. This is my best guest! My other theory is that a friend who worked there emailed me and asked me to be in this segment because they needed someone last minute and knew I’d be up for it. The above two options are my go tos for when I can’t remember how I got a gig, because that is how I have gotten a lot of them.

Why am I telling you this? Because one question that comedians always ask and want to know is, “How did you get that gig?” I think it’s an important question,
