Living in New York City for as long as I did was a crash course in what to do if you ever meet a celebrity while [insert random activity here]. Celebrities! They’re just like you and me. They shop at Whole Foods, walk around the city, and are sometimes friendly when you see them, depending on a whole host of things.

Because I so regularly spotted celebrities while walking around town, I made it a habit of always carrying copies of my CDs, “Dirty Folk Rock” or “I Wanna Be Famous” with me to hand to them if the moment was right, or even if it wasn’t.

It’s important to have very little pride or shame when being a comedian, or else you might miss an opportunity. I’m only half joking.
